The focus of this page is about food, but life is much more than just the pleasures of good food. We are inclined to seek a deeper sense of happiness then just superficial pleasure all the time. With the internet age, society is becoming more and more self centred and narcissistic. In the past, people valued the virtue of humility and frowned upon flagrant display of pride. I think this can partially explain how Donald Trump managed to get this far in the presidential race. One the other hand, Jesus taught that the way to greatness is through humility and he demonstrated it by dying on the cross on Good Friday!
