It was great to meet everyone who turned up for last Saturday’s food photography workshop! We have been conducting these classes since 2008 and it is heartening to see that the level of interest in this form of photography increasing through the years! In the past most people used to come with small compact cameras, but nowadays, it seems that even though everyone has a smartphone, many still carry a DSLR along to our classes!
We kick start this year’s series of food photography workshops with a week long food photography exhibit together with specially constructed teaching aids in the form of food dioramas. During last week’s class, we used them to help the students focus on their composition. Many of them were amazed at how a few simple adjustments to their techniques can drastically change their final photos!
Our exhibition is on till the end of the week. If you are interested in food photography, do drop by and try your hand at taking photos of the dioramas! There is also a food photography competition going on. All you need to do is to submit a photo of the food you ate at Millenia Walk and you stand to win attractive prizes from Canon and Millenia Walk!
Hope to see you there!
