Our new Facebook Group and Twitter

Currently we have an active group of kakis who meet to discuss about food in our forum. But I realise that not everyone likes to use the forum and it has its limitation in terms of being able to alert readers to the upcoming makan outings. So, I have also updated the ieatshootipost facebook group for those readers who are users of facebook.

I think there are many advantages of the facebook group. First, it makes it easier to organize events, especially imprompto ones like lunch gatherings. If you are a facebook user, then it is easier for you to keep up to date with what is happening. The forum remains a veritable source of info of hawker food places which is organized according to hawkers centres and different food types. This is one area that facebook group does not perform as well.

The other application that I have also set up is Twitter. After playing with it for a week, I thought that this application is best used to give quick updates on food that I am currently eating that is worth recommending. However, there is one problem as I cannot get Twitter to update to the Facebook group. It updates to my personal Facebook profile, so I still need to see how it can be fixed.

At any rate, if you want to be kept up to date on upcoming makan sessions and any promotions that might be coming up, do sign up for the applications. But at the end of the day, what is best is to come for one of the makan sessions so that you can get to know our kakis and to enjoy some good food!

As I am quite new to Facebook and Twitter, I would very much appreciate it if you all can give me your advise and tips on how best to use the applications.

Cheers!
