ieat 20th Anniversary Dinner: Eastern House of Seafood

It was so good to catch up with everyone at our 20th Anniversary Dinner.

I have already written about my last two decades blogging about Singapore’s food scene, and if there is one thing I keep coming back to, it is this. The food was never really the point. The friends I have made along the way, that is the part I treasure most.

So to everyone who came down to celebrate with us, thank you. It meant the world to have you there!

Many thanks to Alvin from Eastern House of Seafood for hosting our dinner, and for whipping up some special dishes just for us. The consensus around the table was unanimous: the food was excellent.

As I look forward to the future, some of my friends are already making plans for the 25th Anniversary, D.V.!

As I mentioned in my impromptu speech, the focus of the blog is changing, even as I, and my readers, grow older. It will always be about good food, of course, but the type of food I prefer is evolving, as I pivot towards more healthy, whole food eating.

In any case, we will always stay true to our motto: “Never Waste Your Calories on Yucky Food!” Though perhaps I need to add a second line: “And Make Sure It’s Healthy Too!

In case you haven’t already, you can read the 20th Anniversary Post here.
